The Engrasand® Filter is an exceptional sand filter designed for treating various types of water, operating without the need for energy, personnel, or valves, and performing automatic backwash operations. It is a fully automatic system that requires minimal maintenance.
The Engrasand® Filter is used in applications such as cooling towers, tertiary filtration in wastewater treatment plants, and drinking water treatment facilities, especially under suspended solids loads of less than 60 mg/L.

Structure:
The Engrasand® Filter is composed of three hydraulically connected sections:
- Filtration Section – Where the filtration process takes place.
- Filtered Water Section – The section where filtered water is collected.
- Clean Water and Backwash Storage Tank – Located above the filter bed, it stores clean water and backwash water.
